Two finals down, two to go. The German final yesterday was luckily not too bad; it was just a chapter test (we actually finished the entire textbook). I studied for it about 4.5 hours total as well (which, trust me, is a lot of studying for me, especially for German) and I think it went well. The Geology test this morning also went all right. I was decently confident going in. Someone finished after an hour (!) which was ridiculous (we have 3 hour long blocks for finals) and several other people finished before me as well. I took about 1 hour 40 minutes. There were maybe 9 or 10 people left (half the class) when I finished. I ended up studying around 8 hours for this test. I probably should have studied another couple as well, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I get so bored of studying! I would much rather do homework.
Today I’m looking at studying probably 5-6 hours or so (maybe 8-9) for my Russian final tomorrow. I’ve already studied a couple hours, but it was on Friday and was just going through vocab, so I need to review all that again, plus some grammar concepts and case endings. Today I also need to finish up some work study things I have for this professor (I read through Newsweek and some other magazines in Russian and pick out headlines that have words in them I recognize and interesting things like that) before tomorrow so that I can give her back the magazines and also submit time to get paid. (Yay money!) Today as a study break I will probably load up some more things in my car to take home Thursday, and probably go on a walk to refresh my brain. Finals week for me is taking one day at a time, so I won’t worry about my test on Thursday yet.
The weather finally turned nice yesterday, and it’s continued to be pretty nice today. If the weather is good where you are, get outside and walk around! Get some fresh air. My window is open and I’ll definitely be going outside.
Countdown to California: 18 days!
Part of my walk to geology this morning (sorry about the wobbliness; I’m still getting the hang of it):
